Advanced Email Security uses a powerful and unique set of approaches, including multiple tier-1 AV solutions and non-commercial AV tools, to stop spam, phishing, and all types of malware (known and emerging) with a detection rate over 99% and near-zero false positives. Message reputation signatures – updated every minute – are combined with heuristics and recurrent pattern matching for fast and accurate message fingerprinting, categorization and filtering.
Administrators can set the sensitivity of their spam filtering and define policies on a company-wide, group or user level. The ability to assign policies to domains, distribution lists or mailboxes provide optimum control over how spam is handled. In fact, they can even select to automatically route spam to a user and admin quarantine, deliver spam to the Junk Email folder in Outlook®, or permanently delete spam messages. Different settings are also available for probable and certain spam.
Marketing emails (graymail) such as newsletters can be separately identified and managed, enabling users to focus on important time-critical messages first. Emails with potentially dangerous attachment types, such as executables or scripts, can either be dropped or stripped and delivered without the attachment.
Security Dashboard (coming soon) is a set of reports that enable companies to visualize data related to overall mail flow (email analytics) as well as security related email events. Rolled-up views provide aggregated information across all domains with drill down into specific elements such as email volume, spam, phishing and marketing message statistics, and file attachment and malware analysis.
An intuitive interface makes Advanced Email Security easy-to-use for businesses with limited IT resources as well as larger companies who want more sophisticated controls. Administrators can easily manage all email security settings and define policies directly from the End User Control Panel.
URL Protection prevents users from accessing known phishing sites or webpages containing malicious code. This proprietary technology rewrites all links within messages and then tracks when users click on them. When a link is clicked, URL Protection will immediately check the reputation of the page, and if unknown, will initiate a live scan of the page looking for malicious code. If the page is considered suspicious or dangerous, the user will be presented with an appropriate warning.
